Cabinet split over right to stay in work after 65

Read Gaby Hinsliff's article in the Observer today which is claiming that some ministers at least appear to be favouring the scrapping of the 65 retirement default position. Mandelson's dept appears to be the main proponent for keeping it as they are reflecting some employers concerns which appear to show a lack of confidence in their managers being able to conduct proper performance reviews with older staff. Unbelievable really! If they can't do it with older staff why would they be any better with younger ones? Sounds like a case for more training to me.
